Hi Willi,

...Kelly had a couple of awesome "saves" where she jumped up and knocked the ball up and over the goal post. Isn't it nice to know that all of your training is paying off!

Dear Willi,

Pam and I are very pleased with the coaching you are giving to Cory. We think he has developed a lot. We credit your training to his successes both with being selected for the ODP District 3 pool and the Div. 2 Fwy United Galaxy.

Thanks for the great training and in particular the way you treat the athletes with firmness yet with great respect.

All the best

I'd like to take this opportunity to also thank you for the time and training you are providing to Justin. As Les and I have already expressed, we couldn't be more pleased with Justin's progress. One of the biggest changes we see is the boost in his level of confidence behind the 18 yard line! We feel he's making great strides in understanding the when's and why's of his decisions as we see both his progress and those "great saves" unfold during game time.

Bruce wanted me to pass along a big "thanks" for training Evan last Thursday. The crosses you worked on with him did a world of good. He had a great game yesterday, coming out aggressively on crosses and making wise decisions. He got the shutout, his team winning 1-0 and now advancing to the state cup semi-finals on the 25th. The coach on the other team even commented on how well he did in goal.

Willi, just a quick note to let you know that Kali made the District 3 ODP team. They have selected a team of 28 and have kept 3 keepers, as it works out they are the same ones you worked with[that] time at Fort Steilacom, Bridget, Casey and Kali. Thanks for your help, she wouldn't have been nearly as successful without your training.

Hi Willi,

Marjorie ...

will be fulltime goalkeeper in the Adidas Evergreen Tournament. Your support in boosting her confidence would be great as she has been playing keeper during the second half of each game and as you mentioned, the first half is different from the second half

She really enjoyed having you at the Diadora tournament. Thanks for your incredible coaching. You have a tremendous gift!!!

Thank you!

Hi Willi,

We have played six games and have 4-2-0 record, with two very tough losses... 1-0 and 2-1. Gary has done very well this year in goal and has received numerous compliments from opposing teams and coaches. His improvement is very noticeable! His goals against average is .5 per game! I thank you for the help and look forward to you working with him in the winter and spring!

[ I asked a parent if I was pushing a keeper too hard. This is the response]

Willi,

Shani and I talk pretty consistently about how things are going in her life. I have heard nothing but praise and excitement from her about your training and your approach to her growth as a goalie. I feel the same way. Your training is hard work, probably the hardest work that Shani has experienced with any sport that she has been involved with save competitive swimming. Shani has made the mental committment to do whatever it takes to be the best goalie that she can be. She knows that this means that she will have to push herself and learn where her weaknesses are so that she can overcome them and be stronger.

She is beginning to see the fruits of those efforts. She has learned from you how important fitness is and she initiated trying out for the track team specifically to improve her running form and her fitness for soccer. She initiated the weight training program to improve her strength. In just nearly four months of training, every aspect of her ability as a keeper has improved and she is hungry for more. She has become a tremendous student of the game, she wants to learn more about how she can integrate in to the offense and the defense and help her team.

It is good that you are watching and assessing where she is at. She is not the kind of kid to whine and cry about things, nor will she generally give you less that all that she has. This makes is more likely that a coach could push her too hard as well. You appear to be very consciencious about your training and I know that I greatly appreciate that. Keep checking in, and I'll let you know if I start hearing things from her that indicate that you are pushing too hard.

Dear Coach Willi,

I just wanted to send you a thank you for taking the time to come to Sarah's game. I really appreciate your time and all the great training that you have been giving Sarah. Most of all, I would like to thank you for your encouragement for Sarah. I am excited to see some of Sarah's spunk coming back after a tough year of setbacks.

Thanks for seeing and tapping into her potential.

With special thoughts,

Hi Willi,

We just heard from the District 2 ODP staff and Jessica is one of 6 goal =keepers that have made the team!! She is actually a 1990 birthday = playing on the 1989 team. We want to say "THANKS" because we KNOW you helped get her there.

See you on Sunday

Good morning!

I am so proud of Scott I could bust. Maple Valley Force won against KYSA Strikers yesterday, 4-2. Score at half time was 2-1 (favor Strikers).

Scott's play in this game would have made you proud! In the last 3 minutes of the game - he made a save which was awesome - he leaped into the air and snatched a ball which was probably 2 feet over his head! Scott transforms into this aggressive individual on the field which does not show up anywhere else. He made a few mistakes - but he is learning. We owe it all to you - your dedication, patience in training and willingness to work with all players.

Thanks Willi for all you've done - your teachings will be with Scott forever.

Sincerely,

Paul Beddall

Hello Willi

...Carter had an absolutely perfect stop in his first game in the goal. The shot came to his left side, 4 feet up, near the post. He dove and pushed it - just out - past the post. It was just outstanding, and the whole team responded to his great play. That was really fun.

So, Merry Christmas, Willie, and thanks for all the great coaching you've provided Carter. See you soon!

Jeff Michell--

[Ed. Note- this young keeper has worked with me for some time but his coach would not let him play in goal]
